They didn’t need guns, tanks, or barricades. The revolution came silently.... through legislation, compliance, and fear.

While the people slept, their governments seized power by stealth.

Under the guise of safety and security, they rewrote the rules, turning citizens into subjects.

Now, with digital IDs, speech regulations, and financial controls tightening the noose, many still don’t see it.

The coup is complete - and most never even knew it happened. This is a Revolution in Reverse..... overthrow of the people by the government....

Historically, revolutions were the people rising against oppressive governments. Today, in countries like Australia, Canada, the UK, and beyond, it seems the roles have reversed. Governments are the ones dismantling freedoms, reshaping societies not by force, but through manufactured crises and psychological conditioning.

The COVID-19 pandemic was the perfect test case. Overnight, governments proved they could lock down entire populations, dictate personal medical choices, and control movement, all with minimal resistance. Fear was the key weapon. The media became a 24/7 propaganda machine, bombarding people with hysteria and ensuring that questioning the narrative was equated with recklessness or even criminality.

This wasn’t a temporary crisis - it was the first phase of a long-term transformation.

In this new world order, people have largely split into three groups:

  1. The Aware (30%) – These individuals see what’s happening. They recognise the creeping authoritarianism, the use of fear to justify overreach, and the dangers of allowing governments unchecked power. Many try to warn others, but their voices are often drowned out or dismissed as “conspiracy theories.”

  2. The Blinded (30%) – This group has fully embraced the narrative handed down by governments and the media. They believe in the necessity of the restrictions, view dissent as dangerous, and will willingly police their fellow citizens.

  3. The Apathetic (30%) – Perhaps the most tragic group. These individuals suspect something is wrong but are too distracted, exhausted, or indifferent to care. They assume they cannot change anything, so they go along with whatever happens....until it affects them personally.

The remaining 10%? They are the wild cards....either opportunists who shift with the winds of power, or those waiting for the right moment to take a stand.

The pandemic-era restrictions may have been lifted, but the infrastructure for control remains. Governments now have legal precedents and public acceptance for measures that would have once been unthinkable:

  • Digital ID systems: The ability to restrict access to essential services based on compliance.

  • Cashless economies: A system where financial accounts can be frozen at will, as seen in Canada during the trucker protests.

  • Censorship and speech laws: Increasingly strict rules dictating what can and cannot be said online or in public.

  • Climate lockdowns and energy rationing: The next crisis to be leveraged for expanded control.

These mechanisms are no longer theoretical. They are already being tested and implemented.

The greatest danger in this silent coup is not the governments, but the people's compliance. The blinded will defend the system. The apathetic will ignore it - until their bank accounts are frozen, their access to travel is denied, or their voices are silenced. But by then, will it be too late?

The awake 30% must continue sounding the alarm. Every conversation, every shared truth, every act of non-compliance matters. Tyranny thrives on submission and silence. The question is: when the moment of reckoning arrives, will enough people finally resist?

The 30% who are awake carry the burden of trying to warn the others. But breaking through the blindness and apathy is the challenge. The blinded don’t want to see it. The apathetic don’t want to care.

The big question is: What will it take for the 30% of apathetic people to wake up? Will it require something as drastic as financial collapse, food shortages, or mass surveillance? Or is the slow boil of tyranny enough to keep them slumbering?

I think the slow boil is enough - for now. The 30% who are apathetic will likely stay asleep until the system hits them personally. As long as they can still pay their bills, watch their shows, and order Uber Eats, they’ll remain indifferent.

But here’s the thing: the slow boil always speeds up. Eventually, the temperature rises too high, and people feel the burn. When it reaches their doorstep .....whether through crippling taxes, food shortages, or digital control....that’s when the apathetic will wake up.

Unfortunately, by then, it may be too late. Once cash is gone, they’ll realise they can be locked out of their own money with the click of a button. Once speech laws intensify, they’ll find themselves silenced for questioning the system. Once energy rationing kicks in under the guise of “saving the planet,” they’ll wonder why they can’t afford to keep their heater on.

The danger of apathy is that it gives tyranny time to entrench itself. By the time the apathetic care, the infrastructure for control is already in place.

I think the only hope is for the awake 30% to keep speaking out, no matter how frustrating it is. Little by little, cracks form - even in the most apathetic minds. The seeds you plant today might take root later.

But  sadly, it may take something catastrophic to snap the majority out of their slumber. The question is: when that moment comes, will it be too late to resist?
