A family is like a great ship navigating the sometimes stormy seas of life. At the helm stands the father, strong and steady, charting the course. Beside him, his wife is the trusted co-pilot, offering guidance, balance, and unwavering support.

Their children, the eager crew, look to them for direction, learning the virtues of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Together, they sail forward - not without challenges, but always with purpose - bound by love, faith, and the shared mission of reaching a bright and promising horizon.

I confess. I'm a Man. My wife is a woman. Our children are boys and girls.

This statement is probably offensive to some people.

Fortunately, I live in America, where to say such a thing is not against the law. Yet there are places where the very idea that I say this could offend someone could mean I am breaking the law is ridiculous.

As America recovers from having been off course, so many countries are still heading to the rocks.

I can put up with foolish people who think that being antagonistic and unpleasant is being trendy. But I cannot put up with criminals who go out of their way to make our lives miserable.  I often wish that bad people would be punished right here and right now but I have to accept that they will meet their Maker and be judged by someone far more powerful than me.

I'm male, white, and heterosexual and I love my wife and kids. I vote conservative. I have no tattoos. No beard. I go to church and believe in God. I enjoy a beer and have been known to laugh - something that today seems to be a bit of a no go zone unless it is at the expense of someone the left hate.

I love President Trump and am proud to have voted for him. I think Melania Trump is one of the most elegant and beautiful women in the world, apart from my wife, and even she admits that I am being rather kind, she gave me a hug for writing it even so.

I'm just an ordinary man doing what most men do every day. Work and do what comes naturally. Just be a man. Just being myself.

With President Trump back in charge, I feel hope again. Hope that being a man is no longer something to be treated with contempt or ridicule or disgust.

I was brought up the old-fashioned way. In a small town. I have only ever lived in small towns. Far away from the city lights and the most exciting thing that happens after dark is dawn.

It's the kind of place we like.

Any time we move, we meet new people and, after a few weeks, it is as if we have always been there.  Sure, it is hard to move. The kids being forced to change schools, make new friends and start again. But that is life.

But it is the small things that matter. Take for example our latest move. We have four chickens that keep our family well endowed with eggs. They are adjusting to a new home. None of four ladies are feeling comfortable enough in their new home to start providing omelettes but our kids are making sure that they are comfortable in their hastily built emergency accommodation by reassuring them that " Dad is going to build the best coop you have ever seen. "

And I will.

Because I am a father.

Meanwhile, my wife is making do with what we have unpacked and is making our new home " HOME " again.

Because she is a mother.

Over the years, we have lived in places that have been cold, hot, windy, barren and fertile. We have seen many neighbors come and go.  But the one constant is our family unit.

While vampires may try and take over the world around us, while wickedness seeps in every now and again, we hold that one constant: our family.

I'm proud of what I have done and will not let anyone tell me or direct me to apologize for doing what is instinctive: to look after my family and my country.

How hard is this for people from the Left to understand? My role, as a man, is to look after my family.

Together, my wife and I try to create a balance that allows our kids to grow with both love and boundaries, tenderness and resilience. A mother’s gentle touch and a father’s steady hand guide a child through life’s uncertainties, helping them to develop into strong, capable, and compassionate individuals.

When both parents work in harmony, they provide not only a home filled with laughter and security but also a roadmap for life - one that teaches a child how to love, how to stand firm in their beliefs, and how to cherish family above all else.

As we move on into a new phase of our life, it is only the strength of our united front that makes the road ahead seem possible.  So many families were fractured during the covid era both here and elsewhere.

Families have been split apart over politics. Over woke ideology. Over how many genders there are or the toilet habits of certain people. Fortunately, our family remains intact and solid. And I believe it is because my wife and I are at the helm of our ship and trying our best to guide a safe path through what have been treacherous seas.

We have a great crew of sailors ( who are often threatening mutiny ) but always seem to be on deck when a storm brews.  My late father used to say ( he was an Australian )  that " when the shit is about to hit the fan, if you haven't battened the hatches, you haven't been watching the weather son. "

Recently, I had cause to respond to a storm that I had not seen coming and I had not battened down. But fortunately, we had charts and a sturdy ship and have found safe harbor.

We know how to weather storms and avoid blizzards.

And how to keep chickens.
